These mugs hold heat and cold well due to the high-firing process. Each is unique, from the way the coils are built to the shape-shifting that they under-go in the kiln. The colors are often the deep brown earth tone of Bizen, with a small amount of fused golden ash on the rim and handle. The design includes a small element of coil pattern left embedded near the top edge of the mug.
